Twilight the Movie

On Saturday, I went with the Speech crew to State College to watch Twilight. We had so much fun! Many thanks to Shelby's twin sister for hosting the movie night at her husband's office. Next time, I'm claiming a seat in the "movie room"... Those chairs looked comfy!

Pens vs Flyers 3.22.09

I was lucky enough to get to go to both Penguin games this weekend. Game two was Sunday against the Flyers. It was CRAZY! I saw things that I've never seen in 15 years of going to hockey games.

In the parking lot, people had taken a Flyers jersey, thrown it in an empty space and then would yell "RUN OVER IT! RUN OVER IT" as people drove by. People would also step on it and get their picture taken as they walked near it.

Then, a "Free Candy" van drove through the parking lot, beeping it's horn and the guy in the passenger seat had a bullhorn that he was yelling into. Noticing the commotion, I looked up to see a female blow up doll hanging out of the window as the guy was driving through the parking lot.

Once I got inside, it was a little more like normal. The crowd was really loud to start the game, but once Philly scored in the 1st, things quieted down a bit.

Some highlights from warm-ups...

3.20.09 Pens vs. Kings

It's a hockey weekend in Pittsburgh for me!! Last night, I went to see the Pens beat the Kings. Tomorrow, I am going to the Pens and Flyers. When I bought my tickets in September, I thought this weekend would NEVER get here. Now, the Pens are down to their final 10 games, and I'm down to my final 2 sets of tickets....

Warm-ups were so much fun last night. The boys were all laughing and having fun out on the ice. Even Sid, who is normally super intense during warm-ups, laughed. Then, apparently, he went back to his HS baseball days and tried to bunt pucks into the net with his stick. You can tell Sid is loving hockey right now and that means great things for the rest of their season.

I couldn't make this stuff up even if I wanted to...

On Saturday, I went to visit the family in Kittanning/Ford City. It was a bit of a hectic day. To make a long story short, I had to drop my dad off in Ford City, then head back out to visit Kristie. On the way through Ford City, I noticed this...

Yep, that would be a window air conditioner in the back of that van. And as my mom said, "But, it's a nice van...."

So after I circled the block twice, once to take the picture, and then once again later to show my mom, I headed out to Kristie's.

My Lilster is getting so big. She is babbling and giggling. And she has two front teeth with a gap in the middle... I told Kristie it's because we sang too many Madonna songs as kids.

Thanks for book Aunt Laura
